What is the Hardie Challenge?
It's a nationwide competition designed and led by James Hardie to celebrate the speed, skill and craftsmanship of Hardie® VL Plank installers. This unique event combines hands-on training, expert demonstrations and an installation challenge to crown the fastest fitter in the UK.

The Challenge:
The challenge itself involves installing Hardie® VL Plank following specific steps, with penalties for mistakes. Remember, quality is just as important as speed, so follow the rules, listen to the experts, and have fun!
Installation steps:
Start the clock.
Staple the EPDM tape to one corner of the timber stud.
Install the starter profile, ensuring it is level.
Install each Hardie® VL plank on top of each other, fixing them at 300mm centres.
Down tools and stop the clock. You're finished!
Remember: Quality matters as much as speed. Our Hardie® VL Plank specialists will be there to guide you and ensure your installation is perfect.
